Objective

• The initiative addresses various issues of trust in data exchange such as concern over reliability of data exchanged, which is exemplified by fake news that might lead to social division, as well as risk of infringement of privacy, excessive reliance on certain services in the winner-takes-all situation and underutilised siloed industrial data.
• Given these issues have resulted mostly from lack of trust in data exchanged, lack of trust in authenticity of data exchange partners, and lack of trust in how those partners treat the data provided, the initiative aims to increase the level of trust through enhancing verifiability of both data and data exchange partners as well as controllability over data
