The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh had taken the initiative to ensure that Government services are made available to citizens electronically through the improvement of online infrastructure, and Internet connectivity, or by making the country digitally empowered in the field of technology as one of the significant initiatives of Digital Bangladesh Vision 2021. To achieve this, myLocker serves as a platform that digitally issues and verifies documents and certificates. It supports a paperless initiative by offering personal storage to each citizen.

Technology Architecture

The myLocker is an independent building block with key features:

Online storage facility to store citizen's important documents.
Anytime access facility to download citizen's important documents.
Anytime verification facility to verify any citizen documents.
Citizens may need not to carry physical documents while applying for getting any services.

Governance Mechanism

The ownership of myGov rests with Aspire to Innovate (a2i) under the ICT Division, a specialized government program dedicated to delivering technical solutions and enhancing access to information and services.
The Cabinet Division serves as the overseeing authority for myGov.
Each government ministry is accountable for the operation of its respective services on the platform.
